Springtree Gives Back To Mater Filius
Mater Filius is a national non-profit organization dedicating their lives to giving refuge, support, and guidance to expectant mothers needing assistance. Mater Filius of Dallas selflessly serves the community as a non-parish Catholic organization who helps pregnant women with meals, housing, and spiritual guidance—from conception to eight months after birth.
The Mater Filius home in Plano recently experienced drainage problems, affecting the yard, lawn, and garden surrounding the home. This prompted a concerned member of the Collin County community—and past Springtree Restoration customer—to reach out to Springtree in an effort to help the women of Mater Filius restore their home, and return to their daily lives. Inspired by their selfless service to the community, we happily obliged and rolled up our sleeves to get to work.
Teaming Up to Give Back
AJ Huckaby of Springtree Restoration then teamed up with Jamison Miller of JMP Gutters to give back to the community, and came together to restore the Mater Filius home—completely free of charge. Working side by side, AJ and Jamison were able to identify the source of drainage at the Mater Filius home, which was the need to install gutters and downspouts to prevent the damage.
Together, Springtree Restoration and JMP Gutters successfully installed brand-new 5-inch gutters and oversized seamless gutters around the Mater Filius home, completely resolving the drainage issue and restoring natural function. With their drainage issue resolved, the women of Mater Filius Dallas can continue to enjoy their lawn and nurture their flourishing fruit and vegetable garden in the beautiful Plano backyard.
